Andrew! He is a phenomenal mixologist! I asked him to create something for me that wasn't too sugary and sweet due to me being diabetic and he delivered! His customer service is 10/10 please ask for him!!

Had a great dining experience here! Hubby and I entered about 30 minutes early for our reservation and the place was hopping! The bar was full, lots of tables already full. But the very friendly hostess found a table for us even though we were early. From the moment we sat down the service was excellent. Jaden our server took excellent care of us. We ordered and only had to wait about 10 minutes for the food to arrive. I am a huge crispy taco fan so ordered the Americanized Taco dish. Thin and crispy shells, stuffed with a deliciously seasoned and braised chicken. We also had the guacamole which was fresh and tasty. Hubby had the chicken mole enchiladas and they too were excellent and stuffed full of chicken and sauce. No room for dessert though this time, will have to try that when we go back another time!

Given this is a small chain restaurant in a high end shopping center with a Dave & Buster's next door I wasn't expecting good food and engaged employees. Delighted to say that all my low expectations were completely shattered by the excellent 5 star experience here. When Barbara S. and I moved into Roseville March 1st we got a welcome gift certificate from Zocalo for a free entree. Took us 4 months to redeem it. So glad that we did. Greeted cheerfully at desk. The place was packed at 6:00pm. Extremely noisy, like party time in Cabo San Lucas. Whisked immediately to our table. Bench seats are comfortable. Server introduced himself 45 seconds later. Jolly and competent, sincere and friendly - Top notch service. Food was surprisingly good. Everything tasted fresh, piquant, was assembled from good quality ingredients with care of plate presentation. Gott'a tell you that the guacamole was excellent, a seemingly simple dish which most Mexican restaurants can fail miserably. Mole enchiladas, great. Americano tacos great. Side dishes of green rice and whole black beans were great, too. Cocktails: Mojito and mango margarita were made well. Tasty, quenching and satisfying. We ate at La Popular last week. It's just across the road, 400 yards away. It's supposedly the fanciest Mexican restaurant in Roseville. The food at La Popular is way below the quality than here at Zocalo. I'll happily return to Zocalo many many times.
